Scope of Extraction
This Groundworks section is divided into two stages. Stage 1 – Earthwork, covers the surface excavation to reduced levels (total cut/fill). Stage 2 – Detailed Excavation (pits, trenches, basements, etc.), commencing from the reduced levels. The former’s total cut/fill quantities can be obtained using Revit’s Toposolid Graded Region function, and the latter using QSKing’s Excavation features.
Revit User Interface
Revit’s Graded Region features is to be set by the modeler and the total volume of earthwork (Total cut/fill) is readily available in the system.
QSKing provides both auto-extraction and manual measurement for detailed excavation of pits, trenches, basements, etc. The former uses the Set Excavation Level function, and the latter uses the Pick & Choose manual function.
